My HDD is failing

at 19:10 - 23rd, July 2023
My 3tb Hard drive (Western Digital I believe) is failing. It has all of my go pro footage from kiteboarding, scuba, drone, plus all my steam library and other stuff on there. Pity, but I am able to go through and salvage what I can, just taking forever.
Looking online for a SSD to replace it and you can get 2TB SSD for 70US now. That's just insane.

I think all of my drives in my new computer are Silicon Power (SP), so I'm pretty confident in the capabilities of these drives. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q37V1C9/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A25SITGFW0OQJA&th=1

more expensive, but I've had s 250GB Samsung SSD for about 10 years now and it's still running fine and health check shows as healthy.. Many SSDs now come with 5+ year warranties as well, almost just as reliable as mechanical HDDs. i'll stick with them for my next upgrade. bit weary of discount SSDs.
