I am so disappointed ahead of time of this. Maybe it'll be good, but my expectations are so low. There are no words for how much I love the anime.

- Fuck John Cho. For years, it was was rumoured that Keanu would play Spike. He was just so perfect for that role. Now we got the dumb stoner from Harold and Kumar.

- It's so flashy & colourful. One of the really cool things about the anime was the dark & gritty nature of space, bounty hunters and coldness of space. The trailer doesn't fit this universe at all.

- And most importantly, WHERE THE FUCK IS RADICAL EDWARD. I'm so upset about this. Granted, I don't think there's an actor who could pull off this role without coming off as just obnoxious or annoying, unlike the anime.

On the plus side, the JPN dub at least brought back the original voice actors. This is the one series I've only ever watched dubbed in English though, the voice acting was just so good. I tried re-watching the original JPN audio once & it just sounded weird.

The only way I can describe what I feel about this is annoyed. It has the potential to be great but it'll never ever live up to the original.

I completely agree with you on all of your points, but can you image the outrage of Keanu playing spike? The cries of the so many people about whitewashing characters...

I think what annoys me the most about all of this is that it's similar enough to be cowboy bebop but they change a lot of things about it.

I'm still confused as to what's the purpose of all of it? Will they be making new episodes or just redoing the original in live action?

i think keanu has chinese ancestry, so he could pull off the mixed ancestry thing for anyone really paying attention, he's so much of a better actor

from the trailer, it seems to be a remake, but i guess we'll find out
