Dude the Wii is selling like mad. Not like it's a case of the system failing to thepoint where they are yanking it off shelves. Nintendo problem is hey need to stop focusing solely on casual, stop depending on 3rd parties to bail them out.

St. Kitts Minor storm

at 17:54 - 15th, August 2011
Been here less than a week and already we have our first minor storm. As i write this there's flashes of lightning and booms of thunder right above me. Deluge of rain and gust of wind that carry it sideways.
Vikie is worried, I think it's her first storm, Castro seems nervous a bit too. He's never really like thunder.

Here's what we're in for tonight :D

Calling it, 1pm and we're still getting intermittent rain. Here's an updated satellite image of the Caribbean.

Was a pretty quiet night until about 6.30 or 7 this morning. There was a loud clap of thunder that got me and vikie out of bed and to our verandah doors looking to see what the hell had exploded.

How long does storm season usually last?

hurricanes can go one for 2-3 days, sometimes longer depending on the speed of movement of the storm. Recently there was a hurricane that his i think Haiti and just sat there on top of it pounding it for almost a week. When it hits the cost, like Florida or Louisiana it runs out of steam and will just sit there and die.

Hurricanes need water to keep moving, if they don't have water they just end up standing still and starving. Haiti and Florida are a lot bigger than St. Kitts, so when we get hit we just get brushed more than anything. That's not to say we don't get hit hard, I've been through hurricanes where all the roofs in neighbouring towns are blown off. We just don't typically have them sit on top of us for a week.
