CBC hockey night in Canada on price v. halak

at 19:37 - 20th, March 2010
watching the toronto v montreal game and they were just talking about the number one goalie for the canadiens. i didn't catch it all of it but they basically said that price was on the ice before the game, got the call telling him he wasn't playing tonight and was pretty upset about it. for price to show emotion like that means something is up.
CBC is convinced that because he's not in means halak has pretty much captured the number 1 spot.

i'll admit that the habs play better with halak in net but i still think price is the better goalie...

habs are finally picking up their play but so far a pretty slow game.

Well he's got every reason to be upset 'cause frankly he stands on his head and they lose games regardless but Halak puts in an average game and they win games without relying on him (and still gave up some weak goals). But again, the shootout, Halak made the first move, got burned this time 'cause the Leafs can aim better than the Oilers.

And Halak is playing tonight. Whatever.

As long as Price plays Buffalo......

(4 games, Habs are 1-4-0 vs Buffalo. Price is 1-1, face 65 shots in total, only gave up 2 goals. The lost game was a 1-0 loss in a boring Sunday game and he didn't even get the 2nd star which was bullshit. Halak is 0-2, faced 64 shots in total, gave up 10 goals even though the team sucked in the first game but they played well enough to win the 2nd one with him.)

Seriously. If they lose that kid then the Habs deserve 10 more years of suck. And Alan Walsh is a douchebag. Pulled the same crap with Atlanta, I hope he doesn't think he can do the same here...

so what did he do exactly in atlanta?

there will be a lot of questions this summer. i think even more questions about how the new habs would fair in the 2009-10 season like last summer

He threatened that Pavelec would go to Russia 'cause the Thrashers "broke their promise" when they didn't give him the number 1 job last year disregarding that Lehtonen was there. But Lehtonen is a broken goalie, he would have gotten that job eventually. Anyway someone shut him up fast there...and Lehtonen (a few hip surgeries later) is with Dallas now. But Hedberg is playing more 'cause Pavelec isn't good enough for that job full time yet.

He basically pushes out other teammates for his own clients. He already pulled the "play or trade" call earlier this season. Everyone already knows his agent is a jerk and he plays the media rather than deals quietly... I wonder how much of that rift between Havlat and the Blackhawks was actually his fault considering how surprised Havlat was when they didn't want him back (he was very loyal to them)... But I'd probably pick Hossa over him too =p
