at 11:42 - 22nd, January 2009

Squenix Crystal Defenders

excellent. to be quite honest i was a little jealous when this was announced for the iphone. as a fan of turret-d in the original star craft and an avid fan of hand drawn games i've been dying for a chance to play some turret-d style gameplay on my wii. reports
Earlier today, Square Enix revealed plans to release its mobile phone title Crystal Defenders for WiiWare, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

However, Andriasang reports that Microsoft has confirmed that another Square Enix title, Yosumin Live is coming to XBLA.

More interestingly, the site reports that “Microsoft’s press statement notes that the Square Enix plans to bring its popular games as well as original titles to the download service in the future.”

Final Fantasy XBLA, anyone?

We’ll check with Square and Microsoft now.

this is what i'm talking about, original rpg games for the download services! go ms for listening to me and working with squeenix to bring me what i want to console i don't have.

Not sure but small enough that many have avoided it. But if you do a retro FF style RPG even of SNES quality it should be more then small enough.
