It's an interesting video for 2 reasons, first to see the old polygon game in HD render and 2 trying to place the voices. A lot of them sound like famous people. Pretty sure one of them is based on Sean Bean's voice.

You've probably heard about this by now. It made major news everywhere, not just on gaming sites.

Anyway, this is absolutely huge. Microsoft now owns so many IPs because they've just been gobbling up all these major producers. First Bethesda, now Activision Blizzard.

Crash Bandicoot, World of Warcraft, Tony Hawk, Starcraft, Diablo, Call of Duty and the list just goes on and on.

It made such a big splash that Sony's stock took a dive by 12% or 20 billion dollars just on the news of losing Call of Duty...

Just insane.

Why doesn't Blizzard just bite the bullet and spinoff part of the company to make movies. they could compete with Pixar by making more adult oriented movies instead of the kid stuff Pixar does.

Looks like typical awesomeness from Blizzard though. just a shame that the art style doesn't reflect actual gameplay.

I've always thought that two studios should break off and start making movies, Blizzard and Square. Have Enix make games and Square make movies, and create a new entity called Blizzard films making movies.

not sure if this is real or not, but this is just sad. sure it's everyone's right to bitch about the games companies make, hell, i do that constantly. but hollow threats like this? just retarded.

this is very interesting, i just wish they would show some gameplay already.
supposedly it's a kids game, but i'm sure there will be mostly adults playing this.

Nice idea, but seems a little desperate to me.

1. "people getting bored with our gameplay, what can we do to get people to keep playing?"

2. "how bout change the gameplay from grinding so much to a more interactive or story driven game?"
1. "nah, too much work. how bout we just make some kind of big even to get people interested in the world we already created from the original?"

video looks nice though, a lot of work went into the environment and showing how much things have changed.

but something that stayed the same.



somethings that i like:
new races, werewolf and goblins
'new' environments

things i don't like:
at this point any race can be any class
defeats the whole purpose of being a specific race doesn't it?

things that i don't care about:
guild levels

if you can't hear him properly, the guy in the beginning is saying that his mom just killed his brother's wow account.

pretty funny but kinda sad that games hold so much sway over some of us.

There's a game called Warcraft 3, perhaps you've heard of it? Anyway, warcraft is like starcraft, very modular and modifiable when it comes to 3rd party patches and addons. Dota being an extremely popular 'expansion' to warcraft 3. it makes the game into a team vs team assault type game. very deep gameplay wise.

did i mention it was popular? so popular in fact that the team behind it got together with a publisher and started making demigod. demigod pretty much is dota without warcraft 3. with just as much depth and tremendously improved graphics.

make sure you watch it in hd.

now be honest, game looks fantastic right? a lot of other people think so as well. plus the already installed fanbase from warcraft, that makes a good amount of people. but it's not all good news...


that's over 88% of the players pirating the game. insane. now i know piracy can and is a problem for some companies, look at world of goo for pc/mac. they had the exact same problem, never released any numbers but said pretty much the same thing. sad really, goo is great, as i'm sure demigod is as well.

are these things getting better or is it just me?
