It's amazing how much more you get done when the kids aren't around... I've been programming a simple little inventory system for us to use at work and of course listening to a lot of music while I work. This seems like an old song, but it's very catchy and plays well into my laid back music mood I've been in to help me focus.

With the site troubles we've been having I haven't been able to post anything in a while. We're no where out of the woods yet and honestly I think it's just time to rebrand the site entirely and re-write the code from the base up. Just a question of having the time and updating myself on new methods, programming practices and deciding on a direction and design I want to take the site in.

Lane 8 just dropped his Spring 2021 mix and this caught my attention. It's pretty much everything I like in music right now: hypnotic background, persistent beats, great haunting vocals. Just really wonderful music.

Originally heard this on a mix by James Grant the other day and it made me stop what I was doing and just sit and enjoy the simplicity of the music but the wonderful vocals.

It's almost like a mix up of trance, vocals, and the music from Hotline Miami.

A bit early but couldn't help it. Some great almost hidden male vocals in this, I love this kinda stuff.

Back in the hayday of the Tiesto we used to know and love, he produces some of the best trance music you can imagine. It was really in a league of its own, mixing delicious beats with some of the most beautifully haunting vocals at the time. Personally, I prefer this kind of vocals over actual lyrics because it doesn't take me out of my happy place when I'm partying. They're just background sounds that you can almost feel, they just linger in the back of your mind while you focus on other things.

If you look at the date, you'll see that this post is actually long into January 2015. Up until now I just couldn't find the right song to end the year off on, but this really takes the cake. Especially with a name like The Loves we Lost. It reminds me of what a year I've had, the many adventures, places and people I've seen, and also the people I don't see anymore. 2014 was a big year from me with big changes that will stick with me hopefully the rest of my life. I hope it was for everyone reading this too.
