i thought blizzard's diablo 2 cinematics were incredible, and even back then the voice acting was top notch.
it will be interesting to see what they come up with for starcraft 2.
i wonder if it's even in house cinematics
I realize there are people here who like Fable, I, myself have never played the series, on PC or xbox. I really does look like a zelda for the xbox so it does interest me, i just never get around to playing it.
Fable 2 had some great advertising, which is odd because i haven't seen a single bit of advertising for Fable 3.
here's the opening cinematic.

Super Mario Galaxy™ 2, the sequel to the smash-hit galaxy-hopping original game, launches May 23 for the Wii™ console. The game includes the amazing gravity-defying, physics-based exploration from the first game, but is loaded with entirely new galaxies and features to challenge and delight players. On some stages, Mario™ can pair up with his dinosaur buddy Yoshi™ and use his tongue to grab items and spit them back at enemies. Players can also have fun with new items such as a drill that lets our hero tunnel through solid rock.

to me god of war is a waste of time, like those old side scrolling beat em ups. fun, easy to pick up and play, and generally just a good time waster without much thought but still just a waste of time.
but i know people love the series, so here it is.

i think they got the atmosphere down pat, the only thing i think they'll need to work on is the ai of the aliens. they seem kind of static. the lighting is fantastic though.

this is adorable, it's also nice to see it on the system that the original should of been on in the first place.
also makes me want to get back to playing okami on wii.

1. "people getting bored with our gameplay, what can we do to get people to keep playing?"
2. "Add content?"
1. "yea, anything else?"
2. "how bout change the gameplay from grinding so much to a more interactive or story driven game?"
1. "nah, too much work. how bout we just make some kind of big even to get people interested in the world we already created from the original?"
2. "yea, that would work too..."
video looks nice though, a lot of work went into the environment and showing how much things have changed.
but something that stayed the same.
somethings that i like:
new races, werewolf and goblins
'new' environments
things i don't like:
at this point any race can be any class
defeats the whole purpose of being a specific race doesn't it?
things that i don't care about:
guild levels

in other fable news, fable 2 is going episodic with pay-as-you-play.
kotaku reports
In addition to announcing Fable III, Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux has also revealed that Fable II is to be re-released as an episodic, pay-per-episode title.
It'll launch on September 29, with the game broken up into five chapters. The first chapter will be free, and when you get to the end of it, you'll be given the option to pay to download the next chapter.
Molyneux says each chapter has a "natural break", so you won't get any sudden interruptions in your experience. No word on pricing as of yet, but we do know it'll be compatible with Fable II's DLC, Knothole Island and See the Future.
