oh but this isn't like old school where we just throw a lot of enemies in the screen and fuck screen lag/blinking sprites. no this is like rock jumping from a moving platform (which moves when you move on it) to a another platform underneath you. spi
a very nice trailer from mistwalker for their upcoming game, The Last Story for the wii. the battle system looks like a mix between gears of war and final fantasy 12. very intriguing.
Aside from the game looking dull (grey/brown) the animation is looking nice, the music is typical of a final fantasy game with haunting themes. the girl at the end is a perfect example. which by the way is the main theme (second video). the first video is the game trailer featuring some gameplay and some cinematics.
i'm looking forward to this and will most likely pick it up when and if it comes to North America.

This one totally passed under my radar. Monolith Software, makers of the xenosaga series of games, was bought by niintendo a couple of years back. they've been working on an RPG for the wii. i don't know when this was announced but they have a teaser site up with some nice background music.
the following is a pic of the site. really, go check it out, very nice music.

the music seems like it's just remixes of ol...
The following is an actual account of my experiences as of recently. Because of the nature of what has happened I must remain anonymous until I feel it is safe to reveal my real name, but for now you can refer to me as James Richards.
On Sept. 9, 2009 I experienced something that I still am having trouble believing happened to me. I came into the possession of a cassette tape containing a Beatles album that was never released. In fact, not only was it never released but it was recorded many years after they broke up (and no I'm not talking about Klaatu).
Now this is where the story becomes slightly more unbelievable and it is almost embarrassing to attempt to explain the incident to you for fear of viewing me as completely absurd. I must assure you, I am not insane or on drugs, and hopefully the audio from this tape will be enough proof that there is more than we think out there...
I live in Livermore California but on Sept 9 I was driving home from Turlock after visiting a friend for a few days. I had my dog with me and I didn't have any plans for the day so I decided to take a drive through a place called Del Puerto Canyon just west of Turlock. There is a scenic road that is a fun drive and actually goes through to Livermore. I hadn't taken a cruise through it for a while so I thought i would take this way home. It was about 2pm.
doing random searches for my name on google, a popular activity for myself, i found this bloke.
some might not think this is a big deal, but i feel sorry for the guy (guy?) with a name like douche. mind you he's from the czech republic so i doubt the name actually means anything there.
This is so cool. people have taken the original tracks from daftpunk's discovery album and redone them with an 8 or 16 bit sound processor.
let me rephrase that, they made the music using the same sound processor from an 8 or 16 bit console.
very cool stuff.
here's some videos of some of the guys doing it at parties.
i think i'd actually go see them live. their 'live' studio video sounds better than the recorded release.
I have a bit of a history with death cab for cutie, or at least the lead singer's side project "The Postal Service"
i absolutely love the postal service's music. kind of synth pop, and i think anyone who likes 80's music should check it out because it has a bit of that but it's more up to date.
anyway, every time i used to listen to postal service something bad would happened between me and vikie. normally i'm not a superstitious person, but without fail something bad would happen and usually it was out of my control.
anyway, here's a sample of postal service

I've been listening to these guys after i got mike's music. to me it sounds like the ending music of a romantic comedy, sitcom where the two people finally hook up and they're making out in the rain or something. i guess if you stretch your imagination a bit you could even call it video game music. maybe an rpg, or death scene or something.
i did a quick search on youtube for them and found this. quality is crappy but gives you a decent idea of it.
they have some darker music that would suit diablo quite nicely. sadako's fury is a good example of that.

These are some pretty neat videos. you might of seen them before, it's a woman, Ilana Yahav, in a dark room with a light table making some drawings in the sand. sounds simple enough. watch the videos, really something.
