They should put this in a racing game like Forza or GT.

Fable 2 Getting a New Island

at 11:00 - 25th, November 2008

Lionhead’s announced the Knothole Island DLC pack for Fable II, to release on December 12.

The remote island of Knothole is dying, its golden sands and lush vegetation covered with snow, its people freezing, its treasures buried. Only a hero can face the trials of the three shrines to bring back the sunshine.

There are shots through there. There’s going to be free stuff too:

Free and premium downloaders will receive a shower of special gifts, including Knight’s Boots, Assassins Gloves, a special Weight Loss Potion, collectible silver book and more. You can also check your standing in over 50 new Leaderboards on

i like the idea of adding entirely new islands and land to good adventure/rpgs like this. zelda was supposed to have this kind of content. and the way they talk about it seems like the island itself is free, with some free content on the island as well. though some special islands will cost coin.

very kewl. applause to lionhead and ms for this.

This is cool, especially for those who have played the first game, because Knothole Glade was an integral area in the first game and to be able to go back in Fable 2 and see if 500 years later adds a nice bit of flavour to the game. And I like the whole free downloadable content aspect to it, with premium stuff costing a little extra. But again this isn't anything new with what Lionhead has been doing for Fable 2. I mean, you can get a bunch of free in-game stuff for free in Fable 2 simply by playing the flash games on the Fable 2 XBox site.

-well said johnny...
i absolutely love the idea. this also encourages the devs to make the next version bigger and better or go in a completely different direction because if it's something small like an island, they can just make it a download.
