tweaks for the company to do. It is mainly that no company really wants to put effort into kiddy Nintendo so all they will ever get is shitty run down ports.

Macbook Nano

macbook nano

here's an image of a possible macbook nano. ok, well not really because the machine is actually a MSI U100. someone hacked it and put os x on it. then hacked the case and put a backlit apple logo on it.
the machine weighs 2.2 lbs, has a 1.6ghz atom cpu, 2gig ram and 320 gig hard drive.

andy, your new machine?

yup, i think i'd use it as a server, either that or a main desktop and move my g4 to the server, keep the other one as a print server or something.

wireless n is more than fast enough to stream most videos i would want to stream through the network. and if i don't feel like streaming, i'll copy.

i've been on n for a while. got the same router as dad i think. 40 bucks, well worth it. though the firmware is different and i can't remote desktop or ssh into my home network anymore.

thats kinda gay, do you get full speed?

it's weird but i think this has more to do with the fact that N is still draft and not final, but i get 100% when sitting next to it, in the living room and sometimes as far as the bedroom.

but then again, sometimes when i've got the laptop right next to the bloody thing i get 1 bar and not 4.
most bizarre thing.
sometimes it even drops the connection entirely. i'm not sure if it's because of draft or the router itself.
but the phones don't kill the wireless anymore.
and whats more, it wasn't just the wifi going down, the phone actually freaked out the router to the point it would continuously reboot.

Eric and i had the same problem for the N card we bought for the server in the living room so hes going to return it as faulty and we've switched back to wire
