How'd You Like Your Game Ending to Be DLC?

I'm all for being paid, but that's not the way to do it.

i generally hate unions but i think gamers need to start standing up for themselves so shit like this doesn't actually happen.
paying for the end of your game is just retarded.
paying for extra weapons is just as retarded.

whatever happened to buying a game and having the entire game right there when you bought it?

i can understand patches and bug fixes but come on, this is idiotic.

OMFG >.<....

i think this guy "smuckers is good" on kotaku said it best when he said:

"Yes it is, in my opinion. Writers dont get paid twice when when you buy a used book, neither do automakers, or home builders. You're entitled to your opinion. I respect that. But if they made money off the original sale then IMO they have been compensated. They should entice consumers to hang onto their games like criterion with Burnout Paradise. Im sorry, but i think this whole issue is fucking ridiculous. If what this guy is talking about ever comes to fruition. Fine. I'm done. Ill hang up my controllers and simply play all my retro shit. DLC is fine if it's a game expansion of notable size. However I think they need to end the distinction between DLC on console and DLC on PC's. On the PC it's generally been always free patches, updates, enhancements and on the console you pay for little additions. I think that's retarded.

I think DLC has a place however if your paying your Gold service fee on the 360 your entitled to the extra weapons, armors, etc just like your PC brethren.

I also think MS has to finally do something exclusive for gold members. It's ridiculous at this point. Your biggest advantage is playing games online (ok fine) but getting demo's first? I wanted Mirror's Edge and you have to wait a fucking week or two for access to it. I went to PSN, downloaded it for free and liked it so much I will buy for PS3.

what pisses me off is when the content is already on the disc, you pay to basically unlock it. the download is tiny because it's probably just setting a bool variable to paid_content_1 = TRUE

i know it's a business but come on.

so who wants to join my gamers union? we'll stop shit like this from happening.

You show your unhapiness but putting your money where your mouth is. Just don't by the offending game or the DLC. The day they start charging for endings nobody will purchase that game. Just doesn't work that way.

Doesn't matter, whenever they do a slight update to the system it's like a kid in a candy store. Holy crap they gave use 500 more mhz on the processor and we now have 3 gb of RAM! (just an example, not fact). But you get the idea. Everything the come up with is the best thing since sliced bread.

But I don't want to deviate the topic, just referencing how people are stupid and buy anything the machine tells them to buy
