It doesn't mention anything about the processor. Doesn't need to be very high end. Not sure if those were dead pixels or an issue with artefacts on the screen. They seemed to clear up once the screen reloads to a new page.

my only issue is, most business people have a laptop already, why carry this?

The main reason for these types of readers is that they are easier to read than a computer screen. It's not backlit, it reads exactly like a printed piece of paper.
