What you all been up to?

I've been super busy with work during the day, since dad took off for Europe, which is also the reason I'm not coming up to Montreal today. When I'm not working I'm walking up one of two mountains here, swimming in the pool or going for drinks with friends from work.
As I mentioned in the chat, I went with my cousins and my aunt to see Monster University on Tuesday, which was fun. A good cute movie, but did not get anywhere close to the first one in emotional factor. Oh and Pixar is getting so good at making realistic CG that their short in the beginning of the movie looked real. Quite impressive.
Aside from that, I've been playing torchlight 2, I need to get back to Dead Island (almost finished the city again), and I'm getting a craving for a Zelda, so might start playing Wind Waker if I have the time, but honestly I get home and am wiped from work that I just veg most of the time.
Can you believe I've only gone swimming in the ocean once since I've been here? I've been to the pool more than anything else. I did have a great bbq bonfire day with Andre, Ethan and Emma though. made hotdogs and hamburgers on a bonfire made from drift wood. Love going back to basics like that.
Generally, things are going good here. Having fun and doing lots of good work.

I'm not sure when I'm coming back right now, I've changed my ticket to sometime in October but never know what will happen between now and then.

Oh, one last thing. My condo is a 3 floor building, basement, ground and and second floor. The basement is actually below street level but has great views through massive sliding doors. When I moved in with Vikie way back when, the basement was a security issue so I had my guys install a solid wood door blocking the stairs to the basement. Seems this paid off because while I was watching my parents' place while they're gone, someone tore off the windows to the basement and got into the condo. they couldn't get past my door though. Pretty scary idea, I must say. First thing I'm going to do when I go back up there is install my alarm system I ordered before we left.

I'm also certain it was an inside job because that day we borded up the windows with plywood and when I went to check up on the place that night, both basement sliding doors were left open.

Nothing was stole though. They couldn't get to anything of value since the living room is always locked. The bedrooms have nothing but some books at this point.

crazy about the [attempted] theft - highly recommend getting a camera with the alarm system. cops don't usually give a crap unless you have some sort of evidence.

only once in the ocean ?? get out there!!

whats new with me ? off for two weeks - went to nyc last weekend. impressive how the new WTC is being built. did lots of wandering - every time Im there always investigate a new neighbourhood. We didnt even walk through times square once this time.

Painted my condo this week & almost finished the kitchen, looking good so far. Can't wait to sell this place though - NDG is awesome, but I really want a bigger place. Aside from that just gonna be taking it easy for the next few days. A friend is moving on Canada day, so that should be exciting :D

Have you been taking pictures of your condo? Nothing like a before and after when moving and working on stuff. Wish I did it for my place on Sherbrooke.

Been in the ocean twice now :)

I haven't really paid attention to the WTC construction, I didn't really like the design of the new building, but I didn't like the design of the old ones either.

How was your exciting move? Must of been crazy. Having moved 3 times in the last 4 years is something I definitely don't miss.

Sorry about that, got caught up in a gaming binge the last few days of my vacation. Been playing a lot of torchlight and X3 Albion Prelude. Not up to much, just got the Raspberry pie that i ordered today and i'm trying to make a Sonos like device that i can control with my phone to listen to music. Also finaly received my Ouya and i'm thinking of trying to make that the main component for my arcade cabinet (yes i'm still slowly working on that). You can install mame4droid on it and it can support a keyboard so it might work.

And i just found out you have to be careful what SD card you buy since it looks like the one i got appears to not be compatible. It was a Kingston 8GB class 10 that i got for 7$ (model SD10V). Didn`t know to check This site for a compatibility list.

Maybe that's why I find mine slow...
Have to decide what to do with the bloody thing. Maybe I could turn it into a fileserver for the office or something.
