Yeah but that is Sony. In reality the PS3 due to it's complexity is about 2 gen worth of tech (10 year span). Takes the first few years to figure out how the hell Cell works with the rest actually producing games lol
MS will hype most
Near the end of its life Above and Beyond's Trance Around the World started to feel very dull to me. The theme of the music was changing towards something a little more mainstream and pop like. Which isn't exactly a bad thing but it was unexpected for such a great trio. I even stopped listening to the podcast at one point, even their new stuff and eventually stopped downloading new episodes.
After a while I decided to see what they'd been up to and checked the podcast to see something called Group Therapy, which I had originally thought had something to do with their tour but now seems to be the new name of their podcast. In the process they seem to have gone back to playing good music.
I'm writing this on Monday and things for me recently have been in somewhat of a state of flux as I'm going through some stuff. I thought two weeks ago it hit a pinnacle but today seems to be a bit of a bump as well.
Today's track is by Ferry Corsten and Betsie Larkin, called Stars, remixed by Alex Orion for Above and Beyond's Group Therapy #20. It's catchy, spacey and the lyrics seem to be hitting a cord with me right now, so it's the perfect track for this month's Trance Fridays Openings.
