Never seen an RTS that does things different. RTS are inherently all the same. I enjoyed Dawn of War but that is due mostly to the setting. It has all classic RTS elements. Starcraft I have no idea aside from the story which is valid.

Chiptunes Thread!

I like trance and other electronic music, but what I really dig are chiptunes. It's got to be because I grew up playing NES - there's a lot of good stuff out there - it's too bad there aren't more fans out there. I'll use this thread to post good finds every once in a while.

damn, that feels great for some reason when you listen to the beginning with headphones.

And yea, I have a feeling the NES is the reason for my love of trance and EDM in general.

This is fantastic andy. I'd be totally down for a weekly chiptune!

here are two more - this guy started out doing chiptunes, he's now morphed into other electronic/techno/dance music, but still has a 'chippy' sound to it .. im a fan :)

this just goes to show how impressive the commodore 64 was - everything is basically written in assembly code, I can only imagine how difficult it was to write any form of music with this system

Cool. You going out on nuit blanche? Jenn and Christophe and some others want to go out too. I just remember being very cold and waiting in lines for a lot of stuff that was totally underwhelming.

Didn't think chiptunes could have singing in them. Sounds a little weird to me but the beat and background music are very good, almost rave like music.

ok, so this isn't a chiptune. what do you think of avicii's suddenly-country music ? specifically at 1hr:09 ? i have to say, i really don't hate the track.
