Livestream of NASA's Mars Rover landing

at 17:11 - 5th, August 2012
So NASA has decided to livestream the landing of the rover on Mars. Good or bad, this is a big thing for NASA. I think they've finally got a marketing team that knows what they're doing.

The actual landing time is at 10.30 ET, so set your alarms for a little before then because either way this will be a show to see.

Here's the livestream on ustream.

And for those not in the know, here's my original post about it a couple weeks ago.

LIES! the landing is actually at 10.30 PT which means it's at 1.30am tomorrow morning here on the east coast.

Finally, some pictures of the decent from Curiosity!

These are a set of stills taken from Curiosity on it's way down to the surface. something like 197 frames to form a movie. Very cool.
