Wizards of the Coast Announces Partnership With Stainless Games

"December 3, 2007 (RENTON, Wash.) - Wizards of the Coast, the world leader in hobby gaming, and a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE: HAS), today announced an agreement with leading UK video game developer Stainless Games to produce an exciting new online downloadable game.

"Wizards of the Coast has created many of the most popular brands in roleplaying, trading card and tabletop strategy games" said Patrick Buckland, CEO for Stainless Games. "We're proud to be working with one of the most treasured IPs in the games field in a true partnership which will produce a real gaming revolution later next year."

Details about the game will start to become available in early 2008."

Aside from the Bioware games generally anything else D&D has sucked ass. Wizards of the Coast are very sloppy when it comes to video games. So we will see.

Well yeah. Thats because as a company they have a track record. The Bioware games were the best. NWN was good but not as epic or classic. D&D online was a joke. Lets take this contest winner from a year ago on a setting that is ok in popularity and make a massive multiplayer game out of it. Only lets make it the worst possible not even using tradition D&D rules.

Yeah and the SSI game were mostly miss.

There are just some companies that you know need to watch what they do and when they pick a developer I never heard of yet are the best in the UK. Ok whatever, not impressed. I want to see good results.

Nope. No funds and either way not hight on my game list right now. I heard good but also mixed things on it.
