Mac os 10.7 Lion sneak peak

God am I tired of hearing nothing but iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, iTunes, App Store news from tech blogs. I want some computer news! It's almost like Apple doesn't make macs any more.

As of this posting, a quick browse at macrumors shows that 7 of the 9 posts on the main page have something to do with the Iphone and it's sister products while 1 is about Apple's stock price and 1 about "Lion" or mac 10.7.

I wonder if there's a way to disable iphone news.

Anyway, Engadget posted a story about Apple sending out an invite to select media and much speculation about what is happening but the gist of it is that Apple will more than likely refresh their laptop line and show a sneak peak at 10.7.

Maybe a possible switch to AMD cpu's? unlikely as everyone saying how chummy apple and Intel are right now.

I'm just happy to hear about macs again.

13 inch is a macbook in a tiny macbook pro enclosure. it's ridiculous that they give it the pro tag

i am so hoping for the 11.6 inch macbook air.. it will have two USB ports, automatically making it better than the older versions

i've used them before, and they *were* terrible.. but if the new ones have dual cores and are above 2ghz, there is no reason why they would be slow

if it's the same innards as a standard macbook just an inch thinner, why go macbook air when it's more expensive?

the air is like the cube, it's so badly positioned as a product, it's supposed to be a netbook, but is more expensive than the ipad.

at least it runs a full blown osx instead of the ios shit they have on the ipad

macbook is too big.. the 1.7 inches between the macbook and the air makes all the difference.. at least for me

wont go buy it till i spent a solid hour at the mac store doing benchmarks though
