i think it's pretty much the same at this point, everything is online anyways. jpn coworkers are really into attack on titan or kimetsu recently. the recent evangelion is really big too. i hate the remakes though.

and so the Guitar hero 3 saga continues...

Went to Microplay yesterday, asked if they had Guitar hero 3 in.
the guy at the store said it would be coming in either today or tomorrow, asked the price, he said 99.
i told him he was charging more than anywhere else, he said ok.
i asked if he priced matched, he laughed and said not for that.

on top of that i spoke with a guy at EB, so take with a grain of salt, he said they're only doing preorders, i asked him why, he said it was because activision isn't producing many of the titles, no one thinks it's going to sell well or something.
yet every where i go, no one has it in stock.
i'm going to try EB today, maybe futureshop too.

wish me luck.

Thing is they are competing with Rock Band. People are right now more hyped on that. It is more expensive being at close to $200 but you have all the instruments and can play as a big group and not just one or 2 people. I can almost say that if Rock Band lives up to expectations that probably you may be seeing the last iteration of Guitar Hero.

Sony banked on the the PS2 version of GH3 and look at stores, they are overstocked with the crap. Meanwhile other consoles are sold out. I think production of the title was low in the first place. This gives the impression that the item is hot and hypes it more as a must get.

I think Wii GH3 will sell well like I mentioned in another comment since thats all Wii will ever get most likely for their gen of system.

While fun just suck it up and do a pre-order either via EB or Future Shop if you want it THAT bad. Otherwise just all hang out and share. While it is a great game having played GH2 the coolness wears off quick enough.

At least till they make DDR GH ;)

lol, ddr gh, that'd be weird, like some kind of brady bunch sing and dance along game.

/me shudders

they'll hear us and try making it next...

and yea, it's a little weird, i've been able to find versions of the 360 and of the ps2 but nothing else, supposedly the ps3 version is selling well too

Well Xbox most people have the controller already since they most likely bought the second which explains it. As cool as controllers can look there is not point paying extra for something that works. So far though I have seen it sold out where I have visited.

PS3 same story as Wii. People are desperate for something new to play. PS3 users especially.

Yeah, I've been tempted to just bite the bullet and get the Ps2 version of GH3 since it would give me a wireless contoller I could use to play all the GH games for one system, could pick up the previous ones for cheap eventually, no need for extra controller. But the big draw for me is the idea of being able to play GH3 with you guys (either online or in person), but for that, the Wii version would work better.

Yeah online is really the keeper though while Wii online is free and for GH3 may work ok. I worry more about the wireless capabilities since I get disconnected often from the store or have trouble connecting to it. And the friends codes, EVIL they are

weird. your having trouble connecting? i've only had trouble when my modem was almost dead.

anyway, friend codes suck, but i've played online with GH3 and christophe has played online with BW2, both times it was easy to get on and start gaming.
