it\'s episodes?! awesome sauce

The Game is Afoot!

at 12:28 - 15th, March 2010
Big win last Saturday against the bruins.
1st period, awesome sauce. everyone played like they wanted it, like the could taste it.
2nd period, less sauce still awesome.
3rd period, picked up the socks and kept at it.

3 complaints,
jaro is one lucky fucker. some of his big saves we're so much big saves as they were he happened to be there by chance type of moments. some can argue that that's part of being a goalie, knowing where to be and when to be there. but RDS was going on about a 'big save' he made where he got a good piece of the puck. we wasn't in position, his shirt sleeve did the blocking for him, not pads, not arm, shirt sleeve.

2. sergei is good, and scores nice goals, but this game he was lucky. once again being in the right place at the right time. same argument from above can be used here though there's no real defence against it this time.

3. bruins? what bruins? where were they most of the night? has savard injury really crippled them so?

1 - Martin's "reward system" makes me think he's a douchebag because Sergei is showing him everything he can, wears his heart on his sleeve, and the guy can't BUY a spot on the PP (where we know he rockets from the point. The kid is a PP quarterback...) instead keeps with Hamr/Spacek who are just meh up there (even if Space shot twice). Even Gorges is up there... This can be said the same for Price who did everything he could and has been the better goalie before/after the break but can't buy a win 'cause his team putzes around for 40 minutes (either early or late hence blowing a 1-goal lead vs Sharks, and that mess of a Ducks game) but he puts Jaro in 'cause he "stood tall in the shootout vs the Oilers" (and I got big beef about that failed shootout, nevermind the Oilers should have never BROUGHT it to a SO in the first place).

2 - I don't know the Booins anymore... Either the Flyers mailed in their last game and the Bs thought they were awesome 'cause of it, or they're just dead in the water. They been like that all year when they meet the Habs...... Still laughed at Pyatt knocking Chara over twice and Lucic whining after about the clean hit AK46 gave him... Oh pity the Booins~

please describe more about this reward system.
is it like i think, at least with the goalies, win a game, you're in the next one,. lose a game, it's the next guys turn?

That's another stupid system of his and it's bush league crap. "Win you're in" lets the rest of the team off the hook for all their errors, so when the game is lost because the team can't score more than 1-2 goals the goalie feels he fucked it up... But turns around and says "well he gave us a strong game even w/ the loss so I put him in today" but doesn't give Price the Kings to play after a solid game where he was the only one playing for the full 60 minutes...

The "reward system" is giving a guy more ice team and PP time for doing good (like he's done with Darche) yet at the same time doesn't give Sergei the same fair treatment and is either still unable to look beyond the kid who came to camp out of shape and missed the bus. You'd think with the way the PP was going he'd try putting him up there, especially since he's doing good, but he'd rather keep the defencemen who can't hit the side of a barn...

But he does this at random, so I've concluded that he's just a jerk and if we lose Price or Sergei 'cause of that? Well the Habs deserve more decades of suckage, mediocre play, and regret..

The Ducks goals were legitimate goal-scorer goals. The shots were 15-11 MTL, but the scoring chances were 9-2 for the Ducks! He made huge saves, and they had two early powerplays they just couldn't do anything with. Defence was backing up all the way into his face and then Perry/Getzlaf combined for a wicked no-look corner shot through O'Byrne's fat ass and Hamr was in the way of the second one from the point on the powerplay. Then everyone forgot about Niedermayer who just snuck in behind for the third. He stopped point-shot tip-ins through traffic that deflected twice with his glove and they pulled him... These were the gold medalists scoring goals here, not the underachieving overpaid Oilers who scored 2 weak goals on 3 shots... (All the Oilers goals were weak). Then the game was 2 periods of perimeter hockey where the Ducks didn't get a shot on net for 15 minutes. Defence took the whole first to screw the kid and wake up later. Then everyone acts like Jaro's the hero when he could have gone for lunch and it wouldn't have mattered. (Ducks all screwed up in the shootout except Getzlaf who actually hit the net and, well, scored 5-hole)

Did you see what Ovechkin did to Brian Campbell yesterday? Same exact thing that gave Lapierre 4 games... Only Nicols is playing now... Campbell? He's most likely done for the season with a broken rib, colarbone, concussion...

Question is: Will Ovie get 4 games (should be more 'cause he's got a suspension record, got a game misconduct on that play and was thrown out of the game) or will they pussyfoot around and smudge the rules for the superstar?

so the typical thing eh?
habs playing like they don't care until the very last minute when it's too late. the goals might of been good but bad playing out shines price's work

so why not pull halak on the oiler game?
think martin is trying to build up his confidence for the playoffs?

He says he has "confidence in both men" but his stupid lazy win you're in crap makes one feel like shit and the other play with confidence :/

even still it's rare that price has a bad game, it's just his team that don't seem to want to play with him.
i think he'll be gone this summer.

the win the cup part or the traded/moving on part?

News comment 14 | User comment 370 | 16:44 - 15th, Mar 2010

The whole losing another great/promising player because of petty stupidity/poor management who then goes on, is absolutely successful and wins a cup in some other city thing....
