not worth buying the system for in my opinion but the mario, excite bike and starfox themed ones look neato.

In my opinion, while it's very cool, the DSi is only really worth it if you don't already have a DS. There's just not enough that's new or useful to justify upgrading.

and not many people still don;t have ds'. i wonder how it will sell, what with economic crisis and most kids already owning at least one ds.

Well, as far as Japan is concerned, it's selling like hot cakes. Even though we might think it's not worth upgrading for, the Japanese seem to think otherwise. I'm not sure if you'll see the same trend here, but I don't imagine I'd be surprised if that's the case.

but i can totally see japan using and loving the camera feature on the dsi. i know here there's already been complaints about predators and pedophiles in the news using and abusing this feature.

makes you wonder if they have such big problems with pedophiles in japan. i mean i know we don't typical get japanese news here, but does anyone know if there are a lot of problems with peds in japan?

I don't imagine Japan is any more deviant than we are, to be honest. But I don't have any hard facts to back that up.

As for the camera, I can't imagine why. It's VGA! It's so low res! And if so many people in Japan have cell phones, then they all basically have better cameras to begin with.

yea but the camera has some very capable software behind it for manipulating the images. then the images will probably be used in the games coming out soon.

i think there's less of an issue with japan and sex preds because they might look at sex differently than north america. wasn't child prostitution still somewhat big over there? or was that china? or am i watching too many movies?
